Refund Policy

DottyStripes Limited is a small design and manufacturing studio. We hand make all of our products either as samples to display on our website or as custom made orders. For these reasons, unless an item is explicitly described as a "READY TO SHIP" product, it will be made to order.

Whislt we are happy to refund "ready to ship" products we are not able to offer a refund on custom made orders. Please take care in reading the description and measurement information and get in touch if you have any questions.

The below sets out our refund policy on "ready to ship" products including potentially defective custom made items.

When The Buyer returns a product to DottyStripes Limited:

(a) where The BUYER has cancelled the contract with DottyStripes Limited within the seven-day cooling-off period, DottyStripes Limited will process the refund due to The Buyer as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day The Buyer has given notice of their cancellation. In case of any made to order items, only defective items will be subject to refund.

In this case DottyStripes Limited will refund the price of the defective product in full, including the cost of sending the item to The Buyer. However, The Buyer will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to DottyStripes Limited’s United Kingdom Office in full.

In case of "Ready to ship" items, The Buyer will be responsible for the cost of returning the item and DottyStripes Limted will refund only the cost of the item without the postage paid by The Buyer.

If return is to DottyStripes Mainland Europe any difference between UK and European delivery costs will be reimbursed. (Note: Bespoke/custom made products will require inspection by DottyStripes Limited prior to any refund and refunds will only apply where it is considered the bespoke/custom made product is defective).

(b) in all other cases DottyStripes Limited will examine the returned product and, at DottyStripes Limited’s discretion, will notify The Buyer of their refund via e-mail within a reasonable period of time. DottyStripes Limited will usually process the refund due to The Buyer as soon as possible and, in any case within 30 days of the day DottyStripes Limited confirmed to The Buyer via e-mail that The Buyer was entitled to a refund for the defective product.

Products returned by The Buyer due to a defect will be refunded in full, including a refund of the delivery charges for sending the item to The Buyer and the cost incurred by The Buyer in returning the item to us.

The Buyer is reminded of its obligation to take reasonable care of the product(s) and return the product(s) in the same condition in which The Buyer received them. DottyStripes Limited will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. (Note: All bespoke/custom made products will be quality assessed and contain a product specific Quality Assurance Document of which a copy will be retained by DottyStripes Limited, in the event a product is returned as defective an assessment will be made referencing the product specific Quality Assurance Document).
